Job summary

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy experience or successful completion of Phlebotomy training in an accredited Phlebotomy program preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support required within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Obtain specimen samples from patients via venous, capillary or finger sticks and verify patient identity.
• Explain sampling process to patients and ensure proper identification prior to collection.
• Maintain specimen integrity using aseptic techniques and follow department procedures.
• Process reference laboratory specimens and complete orders accurately.
• Assist with billing of patient accounts and processing manual laboratory reports.
• Support other duties within the laboratory department as needed.
