Job summary

Baptist Health in Louisville, KY is seeking a PRN Phlebotomist to support daytime operations. The phlebotomist will obtain blood specimens by venipuncture, capillary, or finger sticks, verify patient identity, and explain the sampling process to the patient.

You will maintain specimen integrity using aseptic technique, process reference laboratory specimens, complete orders accurately, and assist with duties within the department as needed.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy experience or successful completion of Phlebotomy training in an accredited Phlebotomy program preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support required within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Obtain blood specimens by venipuncture, capillary, or finger sticks.
• Verify patient identification prior to collection and explain the sampling process to the patient.
