Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Plano, TX. This role supports our patient service center by performing skilled specimen collections and delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

You will collect blood samples via venipuncture and capillary methods, prepare specimens for testing, and handle data entry and basic billing tasks. A high school diploma is required, and phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Experience assisting diverse patient groups (pediatric to geriatric) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Enter patient data accurately into the system.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as needed.
• Travel to additional sites when required.
