Job summary

Qualifications

• Two to three years of experience in a clinical/phlebotomy setting.
• Proficient in phlebotomy techniques including venipunctures and capillary sticks.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and be detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and prepare specimens for analysis and perform various screening tests as indicated.
• Collect venous and capillary blood samples using syringes, heel sticks, venipunctures, and finger sticks.
• Receive, process and distribute laboratory specimens and paperwork; stock supplies as needed.
• Maintain patient identification and safety procedures; use PPE as required.
