Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team at Campbell Ave in West Haven, CT. This role performs blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups and ensures accurate data entry and specimen handling.

The ideal candidate holds a high school diploma or GED, plus phlebotomy certification or accredited training. Experience with patient service and strong communication is preferred; willingness to travel to additional sites is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
