Job summary

LabCorp in Covington, LA, is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. The role involves collecting blood samples by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages, data entry, and providing exceptional patient service in a laboratory setting.

Schedule is Monday through Thursday, 8:00am–5:30pm with a 1-hour lunch. Vaccination against COVID-19 is required or an approved accommodation may be considered where applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Phlebotomy certification or training preferred.
• 1 year or more phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Enter patient information accurately in the system.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis.
• Travel to additional sites as needed.
