UnitedHealth Group's ProHealth Physicians (Optum) is hiring a Phlebotomist for its Guilford, CT location. This role supports venipuncture, specimen labeling, and patient scheduling within a team-focused primary care setting.

Requirements include High School Diploma or GED, national certification as Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist, and preferred 1+ year phlebotomy experience, with Epic experience and medical terminology knowledge beneficial.

• National certification or registration as Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist.
• 1+ year phlebotomy experience (preferred).
• Experience with Epic and knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsabilidades

• Performs venipuncture following infection control processes.
• Identifies and labels specimens and maintains container knowledge.
• Collects and verifies demographic information.
• Updates insurance information as needed and verifies eligibility.
• Schedules tests, treatments and follow-up visits for patients.
• Documents all patient interactions in the EHR accurately and timely.
• Maintains communication with care team and management for smooth operation.
