• Phlebotomist collects blood specimens (capillary and venipuncture) from patients of all ages and ensures specimen integrity.
• Proficient in reading, writing and speaking English for workplace communication.

Aufgaben

• Performs patient identification and specimen labeling according to SOPs.
• Obtains quality blood specimens using phlebotomy techniques to support accurate diagnoses.
• Performs, interprets and reports point-of-care testing (e.g. glucose) and quality control as needed.
• Processes laboratory and patient reports per SOPs (printing, recording, distributing, faxing, filing, retrieving).
• Communicates effectively during shift and manages priority requests to support department workflow.
