Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Phlebotomist for 16 hours per week in the Lakeland area. The role involves venipuncture, specimen collection from all ages, specimen processing, and basic CLIA testing under established procedures.

Requires high school diploma and strong customer service, communication, and computer skills. Position may require weekend/holiday rotation and occasional start-time changes. 0.4 FTE equivalent, 0500-1330 shifts.

Qualificações

• Phlebotomy or related laboratory function knowledge.
• Basic computer skills and experience with software applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and good listening skills.

Responsabilidades

• Verifies patient identification and prepares specimens for testing.
• Performs venipuncture and collects specimens from newborn to adult patients.
• Labels specimens and ensures proper labeling and tracking for testing.
• Performs limited CLIA-guided testing under policies and procedures.
• Responds to inquiries, assists with inventory, and supports billing and other functions.
• Instructs staff and students in phlebotomy and specimen processing.
