Day Shift
We are seeking a Phlebotomist Tech for our Saint Alphonsus Medical Group Overland clinic location. This is a Full time Day shift. In this role you can make a difference by applying your current phlebotomy/Lab Tech experience and skill.
Under the general direction of the supervisor, you will collect blood samples, correctly identify patients, transport specimens, and perform all related clerical and computer functions. This includes lab orders and supplies, lab schedule, monthly and daily QC, and assisting clinical staff. You will perform the manual tasks involved with registering, ordering, proper collection, labeling, processing, and distribution of specimens for laboratory testing from patients of all ages. You will be responsible for utilizing relevant computer programs and performing data entry. You will serve as the central communication for the laboratory for all incoming requests as well as maintaining the quality and quantity of specimens sent to reference laboratories and the reporting of results received.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Phlebotomy certification preferred.
Experience in phlebotomy in a hospital setting preferred.
This position will be scheduled full time, Monday through Friday. Hours are between 7:30 am and 4:30 pm.
