Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Phlebotomist for an on-site role in North East Phoenix to perform blood draws, specimen processing, and data entry in a high-volume patient service center. You will collect specimens, ensure accurate labeling, and support both pre- and post-analytical steps while delivering compassionate patient care.

The role expects Venipuncture proficiency, teamwork, and adherence to safety and the organization’s Code of Conduct. Hours are typically 6:00 a.m.

Qualifications

• 1 year of phlebotomy experience in a high-volume setting.
• Proficiency in venipuncture and capillary blood collection.
• Experience with specimen collection, labeling, and processing for laboratory testing.
• Ability to accurately enter and verify data in a computer-based laboratory information system.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to procedures.
• Comfort working collaboratively as part of a phlebotomy team.
• GED or high school diploma (HSD) required.
• Ability to provide professional, compassionate patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws in a PSC environment.
• Collect, receive, and label biological specimens accurately.
• Enter patient and specimen data into LIS.
• Prepare specimens for analytical testing and storage.
• Distribute specimens to appropriate departments in a timely manner.
• Support pre- and post-analytical processes and specimen handling.
• Perform assigned analytical testing following lab protocols.
• Provide courteous, professional patient care in a high-volume setting.
• Collaborate with phlebotomists and lab staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
