Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws, label specimens, and centrifuge samples according to procedures.
• Explain venipuncture and specimen collection processes to patients.
• Demonstrate proper technique using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.
• Follow physicians' orders and match requisition forms to specimens.
• Package, label, and store specimens at required temperatures for transport.
• Comply with OSHA regulations and attend annual trainings.
• Record maintenance data and support workflow improvements.
