Phlebotomist/Medical Assistant JOB DESCRIPTION

Think Fertility is looking for a passionate and experienced full-time (part-time can be considered) Phlebotomist/Medical Assistant who is interested in joining a growing fertility practice.

Who are we? Think Fertility is a young and fast-growing fertility practice in Bellevue WA. We are dedicated to helping people achieve their dreams of parenthood. We provide comprehensive fertility services including fertility testing, intrauterine insemination (IUI), in vitro fertilization (IVF), and egg freezing. We believe that every patient has the right to quality fertility treatment, and we strive to provide patient-centered care.

Position Overview:
The Phlebotomist/Medical Assistant's primary responsibility is to provide excellent patient service in accordance with the philosophy of Think Fertility.

Due to the specialized training provided for this position, we are looking for a candidate who can make at least a 2-year commitment, and ideally grow with the company long-term.

Administrative Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Excellence: this position will require being trained in all clinical operations & procedures.
  • Possess working knowledge of all fertility testing and treatment (training available).
  • Educate patients: understanding their diagnosis, treatment recommendations, and barriers to fertility care.
  • Build relationships of trust and authenticity with our patients.
  • Prepare treatment rooms and take patient vitals.
  • Draw blood and process specimens.
  • Prepare procedure room and assist providers for all office procedures.
  • Answering patient phone calls/emails, scheduling, checking insurance eligibility, updating patients' financial report, checking in/out patients, taking co-payments, and other duties as assigned.
  • Follow up with patients that have been recommended treatment.
  • Daily clinic operational tasks, such as treatment referrals, records requests, supplies stocking.
  • Reviewing insurance coverage and treatment costs with patients.
  • Send statements and collect due payments.
  • Competently use electronic medical record systems and possess the ability to learn new technologies.
  • All other duties assigned by management.

Professional Responsibilities:

  • Must be fluent in English language, Bilingual in Mandarin preferred.
  • Accountable/reliable/dependable.
  • Outgoing personality with excellent customer service skills.
  • Able to learn new information quickly and excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team player, supporting colleagues both in-person and virtually.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Participate in office meetings, training seminars, and other educational and business events on a regular basis.
  • Commit to achieving established clinic goals provided by the practice manager and the provider.
  • Collaborate with all teammates to ensure the high quality of patient care and the integrity of Think Fertility’s mission and vision.

Education/Training:

  • Minimum of 1 year working or volunteer experience in a medical office or hospital setting.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Phlebotomist or Medical Assistant Certification required.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed
