Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking a phlebotomist to support blood collection at fixed site locations in New York. You will use healthcare and customer service skills to welcome donors and follow safety procedures while collecting lifesaving blood donations.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience is required.
• Minimum of one year customer service experience in a public setting.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record required.
• Ability to lift, push or pull heavy weights and work long irregular hours.

Responsibilities

• Connect with donors to explain the impact of their donation and address questions.
• Collaborate with teammates to create a welcoming environment for donors.
• Maintain accuracy to ensure collected blood meets safety and regulatory standards.
