Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking staff at fixed site locations in Farmington, Connecticut to assist with every step of the blood collection process. You will help create a welcoming environment for donors and ensure safety procedures are followed as lifesaving blood donations are collected and delivered to hospitals.

Responsibilities include connecting with donors, collaborating with teammates, and maintaining precise attention to detail to meet regulatory requirements and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Associates degree OR a combination of education and work experience is required.
• Minimum of one year customer service experience in public setting is required.
• Physical requirements may include the ability to lift, push or pull heavy weights, long hours and irregular schedules.

Responsibilities

• Take the time to personally connect with donors and explain impact of donation.
• Collaborate with teammates to create a welcoming environment for donors.
• Be detailed oriented to ensure blood collection meets goals and regulatory requirements.
