Job summary
TPMG is seeking a Phlebotomist to join Holland Road Family Medicine in Virginia Beach, VA 23462. You will collect, order, and process laboratory specimens and handle billing for the Central Laboratory.
The role requires CMA/CCMA/NRCMA/CCMA or RMA certification with at least 6 months phlebotomy experience, and you must work effectively with diverse staff and patients. Compensation starts at $15.00 per hour, experience-based.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant or Certified Phlebotomist credential required.
- Minimum 6 months phlebotomy experience.
- Experience with NextGen EMR preferred.
Responsibilities
- Collect specimens for testing at Central Laboratory or reference labs.
- Order and post-collection management in lab systems.
- Accurately bill specimens and review billing reports.
- Ensure specimen delivery to Central Laboratory and external labs.
- Schedule patient appointments and check-in processes.
- Maintain professional interactions with patients and staff.
- Operate laboratory instruments and maintain cleanliness.
