This is a PRN Phlebotomy Float Pool position covering IU Health North (Carmel), Saxony (Fishers), and West (Avon).

• Mileage reimbursement is provided.

This role offers the opportunity to work with multiple IU Health outpatient laboratory teams, providing services such as specimen collection via venipuncture, order entry, blood component preparation, specimen processing, and related clerical tasks including entering orders, answering calls, and managing faxes. Responsibilities may also include patient and specimen registration and delivery. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills and compassion.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Completion of a phlebotomy training program; laboratory experience or coursework in biological, chemical, or related sciences preferred.
• Valid Indiana driver’s license and a good driving record for the past three years may be required.
• Understanding of Indiana traffic laws preferred.
• Proven computer skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
