Job summary

MHM Services, a Centurion company, is seeking a full-time Phlebotomist/Clinical Lab Assistant at Atascadero State Hospital in Atascadero, CA. The role includes collecting blood specimens, processing samples for testing, and supporting clerical duties within the lab.

A CA Phlebotomist License and 1 year of experience are required. The position is day shift (8am-4:30pm) with competitive pay of $25.00 per hour plus medical, dental and vision benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Willingness to participate in on-the-job training.
• Ability to pass drug screen and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Collecting specimen (drawing blood)
• Processing and preparing specimen for testing and shipping
• Assisting in laboratory clerical duties
• Cleaning and caring for laboratory equipment
• Preparing simple laboratory reagents
• Operating simple laboratory equipment
• Using LIS to order tests, print reports, and log data
• Using POS for scheduling blood draws and ordering tests
• Other duties as assigned
