Job summary

Mammoth Hospital in Mammoth Lakes, CA is seeking a Laboratory Assistant-Certified to support the Laboratory Scientist in clinical lab operations. This full-time role includes phlebotomy, specimen processing, and laboratory informatics tasks, with varied shifts and a starting wage of $26.28–$31.85 per hour.

The ideal candidate will have CPT-1 or CPT-2, American Heart Association BLS, and a high school diploma, with at least one year of phlebotomy experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have CPT-1 or CPT-2 certification.
• BLS certification required.
• High school diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Perform all aspects of venipuncture including heel-stick and finger-stick.
• Maintain aseptic technique during patient care procedures.
• Choose specimen of choice for test requests through knowledge or research.
• Handle all aspects of specimen collection, labeling and processing.
• Complete laboratory paperwork including patient requisitions, billing demographics, and monthly/annual records.
