Job summary

Northern Montana Hospital is seeking a dedicated Phlebotomy/Lab Support professional to join our team. Under the direction of the Pathologist and Laboratory leadership, you will collect specimens, perform basic waived tests, and support administrative tasks within the Lab.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited high school or equivalent.
  • Phlebotomy experience preferred; certification preferred but not required.
  • Ability to follow OSHA Bloodborne Pathogen Standards and CLIA guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Phlebotomy and collect respiratory specimens across age groups with care.
  • Process specimens and perform waived testing as allowed by CLIA regulations.
  • Carry out secretarial duties essential to the Laboratory.

About the role

Under the direction of the Pathologist and Department Director, performs Phlebotomy and collects respiratory specimens on different age groups in proficient and caring manner while maintaining adherence to OSHA Bloodborne Pathogen Standards for Category I exposure level. Processes specimens and performs waived testing as allowed by CLIA regulations. Performs secretarial duties essential to the Laboratory.

Qualifications

Required to be a graduate of an accredited high school or its equivalent. Has knowledge relative to age of patients served. Experience in Phlebotomy is preferred. Phlebotomy certification is preferred, but not required. Starting pay range varies based on experience up to 10 years.
