JOB SUMMARY

Under general supervision, obtains and prepares blood specimens for laboratory testing; performs laboratory analysis in accordance with established criteria and guidelines.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education:High school diploma or equivalent.

Previous Work Experience:Previous phlebotomy education or experience preferred. Previous laboratory assistant experience preferred.

Skills:

Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate in English with people from diverse professional, educational and lifestyle backgrounds both orally and in writing. Ability to read and understand/follow written and verbal directions. Requires organizational and self motivational skills in prioritizing and managing multiple tasks.
