This person esponsible for accurate patient identification, specimen integrity, and sample labeling. Interacts with customers in a pleasant, efficient, and cooperative manner. This position will also be training new employees, and teaching phlebotomy students.HOURSMonday through Friday 2pm-6pm 20 hour FTEPERFORMANCE STANDARDS1. Demonstrate a competency of phlebotomy skills and techniques including venipuncture, heel sticks, blood cultures, pediatric specimens, and special collections such as those for blood banking on an annual basis.2. Greet and identify all patients in a courteous and confidential manner. Outpatients are responded to within l O minutes of arrival to the laboratory.3. Perform end of shift duties including, but not limited to, resolving collection pending list, sanitizing work area, and restocking collection trays.4. Demonstrate behaviors of service excellence consistent with hospital-wide and department specific standards.5. Demonstrate teamwork, cooperation, and respect to internal and external customers alike.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS1. High School Diploma or equivalent2.
