Job summary

Endeavor Health in Naperville, IL, is hiring a Phlebotomist for inpatient per diem coverage. You will collect and label specimens, perform pre-analytical processing, and enter test orders into the LIS, ensuring accurate patient data and smooth workflow.

Responsibilities include arranging specimens for next steps and supporting laboratory operations across shifts. Per diem role with flexible hours and weekend/holiday rotations awaits qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy training program with at least 100 clinical hours completed.
• Current CPR (BLS) issued by AHA or ARC.
• Valid Illinois driver’s license and auto insurance.

Hourly Pay Range:

$19.31 - $28.00 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Position: Phlebotomist- Inpatient per diem
• Location: Edward Hospital 801 S. Washington St. Naperville, IL.
• PER DIEM: Hours as needed
• Hours: Flexible hours between 4am-10pm; Includes weekend and holiday rotations

What will you do:

• Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures prepares, collects, logs and labels specimens for testing.
• Performs pre-analytical processing/ordering of specimens arriving in the lab.
• Registers patient information and orders laboratory tests in the computer system.
• Arranges specimens for further processing by Laboratory staff.
  

What you will need:

Phlebotomist I

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a phlebotomy training program including a minimum of 100 clinical training hours
• Current CPR (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Valid Illinois Driver's License and auto insurance
• Starting rate: $19.25/hr.

Phlebotomist II

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Current CPR (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Valid Illinois Driver's License and auto insurance
• Minimum of one year of phlebotomy experience required
