Wellpath seeks a Phlebotomist to collect blood samples and perform basic tests in a correctional facility, ensuring accuracy and compliance with protocols. The role emphasizes patient care and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and completion of a phlebotomy course.
• Unrestricted state certification or registration where required.
• Experience in a correctional setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs venipuncture and capillary puncture for blood collection and conducts waived/moderate testing with QC.
• Keeps policy knowledge up-to-date, attends CE programs, distributes supplies, communicates patient concerns.
• Ensures timely lab completion, maintains records, and documents procedures and refusals.
• Follows safety policies, protects patient confidentiality, and provides good customer service.
• Provides developmentally appropriate care and works as scheduled, including holidays.
