Job summary

LifeSouth Community Blood Centers is hiring a Phlebotomist in St. Augustine, FL. This full-time role requires collecting blood from donors, donor registration, and eligibility determination, with a varied schedule including nights and weekends.

Starting pay ranges from $15.50 to $17.05 per hour, with benefits and opportunities to recruit donors and grow into automated collection technologies as trained.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays.
• Valid driver’s license and eligibility requirements.
• Proficiency in various computer software applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomies and collect blood from donors per SOP.
• Collect blood using automated instruments (when trained).
• Register donors for collection in the LifeSouth system (IBBIS).
• Determine donor eligibility based on interviews and physical process.
• Identify donors accurately throughout the donation process.
• Assist in recruitment, tele-recruitment and rescheduling of donors.
• Convert donors to automated technology when appropriate.
• Provide high level customer service to internal and external customers.
