- M-F 8A-5P - MUST BE FLEXIBLE
- Floaters travel between multiple sites and are expected to be on time at whatever site they are covering for that day.
Description:
- The Patient Services Representative III Floater (PSR III) represents the face of our company to patients, assisting them during their health routine or while making life-defining health decisions.
- The PSR III draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for lab testing, following established practices and procedures.
- The PSR III has direct contact with patients, creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence, explaining procedures, and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner.
- The PSR III demonstrates leadership behaviors, focusing on process excellence and maintaining sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy of patient information.
- Assignments may include work at a doctor's office, a patient service center, or as dictated by business needs.
- Under the supervision of the area manager, performs daily activities accurately and punctually.
- Maintains a safe and professional environment.
- Performs forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties, verifying patient demographic information, including initials and signatures, to ensure proper labeling and identification.
- Maintains required records and documentation.
- Promotes a positive image and demonstrates organizational commitment to patients, clients, employees, and the public.

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.
- Adherence to all policies and procedures, including dress code, safety, and guiding principles.
- Good judgment and decision-making skills based on established procedures.
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record, if applicable.
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours across multiple locations with minimal notice.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.
- Superior customer focus and effective communication skills with peers, supervisors, and patients.
Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Medical training such as medical assistant or paramedic preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
Work Experience:
- At least three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
- Minimum of 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
- Customer service experience in retail or service sectors preferred.
- Keyboard data entry experience.
