Job summary

Talentify is seeking a Phlebotomist III Floater for our Hackensack, NJ area locations including Englewood, Englewood Cliffs, Teaneck and Rutherford. The role focuses on drawing blood, preparing samples for testing, and maintaining professional patient interactions.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of phlebotomy experience, a high school diploma, and preferred medical assistant or paramedic training. Phlebotomy certification is a plus and data-entry duties are required.

Qualifications

• Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred
• 3-5 years of phlebotomy experience needed.
• Minimum 3 years in a PSC/IOP environment preferred
• Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience a must.

Responsibilities

• Represent the face of the company to patients who come in and for health insights.
• Draw quality blood samples and prepare specimens for lab testing.
• Explain procedures to patients and draw blood in a safe, accurate manner.
• Demonstrate leadership and focus on process excellence and confidentiality of patient information.
• Under supervision, perform daily activities accurately, maintain records, and preserve a safe environment.

Job description

Our Client, a Medical Research company, is looking for a Phlebotomist III - Floater for their Hackensack, NJ/Englewood, NJ/ Englewood Cliffs, NJ/Teaneck, NJ/Rutherford, NJ location.

Responsibilities:

• The Phlebotomist III represents the face of the company to patients who come in, both as part of their health routine or for insights into life-defining health decisions.
• The Phlebotomist III draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.
• The Phlebotomist III has direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe and accurate manner.
• The Phlebotomist III will demonstrate Leadership Behaviors while focusing on process excellence skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy to patient information.
• Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time. Maintain a safe and professional environment. Performs with confidence, both the forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures. Maintains required records and documentation. Demonstrates organizational commitment and promotes a positive image to patients, clients, employees and the public in general.
