Job summary

Talentify is seeking a Phlebotomist III - Floater for our Mission Viejo, CA location. The role involves drawing blood, preparing specimens for lab testing, and serving as a professional face to patients throughout the health-care visit.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of phlebotomy experience and a valid phlebotomy license, with preference for medical assistant or paramedic training and PSC/IOP experience. Strong data entry and customer service skills are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy license required.
• 3–5 years of phlebotomy experience.
• Minimum 3 years in a PSC/IOP environment preferred.
• Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience a must.
• Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Represent the company to patients who come in with a professional, trustworthy presence.
• Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for lab testing.
• Explain procedures to patients and maintain a calm, confident environment while drawing blood.
• Demonstrate leadership behaviors and focus on process excellence and confidentiality of patient information.
• Perform daily activities accurately and on time, maintain records and documentation, and promote a positive image to patients and staff.

Our Client, a Medical Research company, is looking for a Phlebotomist III - Floater for their Mission Viejo, CA location.

Responsibilities:

• The Phlebotomist III represents the face of the company to patients who come in, both as part of their health routine or for insights into life-defining health decisions.
• The Phlebotomist III draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.
• The Phlebotomist III has direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe and accurate manner.
• The Phlebotomist III will demonstrate Leadership Behaviors while focusing on process excellence skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy to patient information.
• Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time. Maintain a safe and professional environment. Performs with confidence, both the forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures. Maintains required records and documentation. Demonstrates organizational commitment and promotes a positive image to patients, clients, employees and the public in general.
