Job summary

Talentify in Freehold, NJ is seeking a Phlebotomist Floater to support our Medical Research client’s clinic operations. This role requires accurate blood collection, patient communication, and strict adherence to safety protocols.

The Phlebotomist III will handle specimens with care, maintain records, and demonstrate professionalism in a fast-paced PSC/IOP environment while providing reliable service to patients and healthcare teams.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy competency and certification preferred.
• Customer service experience in retail or service required.
• Keyboard/data entry skills are essential.
• Ability to operate in PSC/IOP environments with confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Represent the company to patients and ensure a positive patient experience.
• Draw blood samples and prepare specimens for lab testing in accordance with procedures.
• Explain procedures to patients and maintain a calm, professional environment.
• Maintain documentation and records accurately and on time.
• Support area leadership and uphold company standards of safety and confidentiality.

Job description

Our Client, a Medical Research company, is looking for a Phlebotomist Floater for their Freehold, NJ location.

Responsibilities:

• The Phlebotomist III represents the face of the company to patients who come in, both as part of their health routine or for insights into life-defining health decisions.
• The Phlebotomist III draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.
• The Phlebotomist III has direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe and accurate manner.
• The Phlebotomist III will demonstrate Leadership Behaviors while focusing on process excellence skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy to patient information.
• Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time. Maintain a safe and professional environment. Performs with confidence, both the forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures. Maintains required records and documentation. Demonstrates organizational commitment and promotes a positive image to patients, clients, employees and the public in general.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred
• 3-5 years of phlebotomy experience needed.
• Minimum 3 years in a PSC/IOP environment preferred
• Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience a must.
