Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Buffalo, NY seeks a Phlebotomist III Float to support a rotating schedule: Monday to Friday 4:45 AM–6:30 PM with weekends on rotation. This float role offers varied work across patient service centers and facilities, with training and advancement opportunities.

You will draw quality blood samples, manage specimen handling, and assist with on-site coaching and coordination as needed. A strong focus on accuracy, safety, and customer service is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in CA/NV/WA.
• Minimum 5 years phlebotomy experience.
• Minimum 3 years in a PSC environment.

Responsibilities

• Draw blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for lab testing.
• Collect specimens according to established procedures (drug screens, biometric screenings, insurance exams).
• Enter billing information and collect payments when required.
• Coach, mentor, and serve as a resource for new employees; liaise with supervisor.
• Travel to additional doctor’s offices or PSC sites as needed.
