Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Burke, VA is seeking a Phlebotomist II for a Monday–Thursday 7:30 AM–6:00 PM and Friday 7:30 AM–12:30 PM shift with weekend rotation. The pay range is $23.20–$24.90 per hour, with annual bonus potential and comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities include specimen collection, data entry, and maintaining logs per procedures. This role requires three years of phlebotomy experience, a high school diploma, and English communication.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience is required.
• Flexible scheduling including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens and biometric screening.
• Administer oral solutions per training.
• Verify test orders using lab technology systems and client contact.
• Navigate computers and enter data accurately.
• Enter billing information and collect payments per policy.
• Process specimens (labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, transport prep).
• Perform non-patient facing duties (inventory, supplies, sanitizing, filing, phones, email).
• Maintain phlebotomy and maintenance logs; keep records updated.
• Complete online and in-person training courses timely.
