Job summary

Talentify is hiring a Phlebotomist II in Garland, TX on a 3-month contract. This onsite role requires a minimum of 3 years phlebotomy experience and a strong focus on accurate specimen collection and patient care.

Responsibilities include venipuncture, labeling samples, maintaining records, and delivering quality service in a fast-paced environment. Eligible applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and can work onsite as required.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections.
• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred. Required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time.
• Maintain a safe and professional environment.
• Perform with confidence, both the forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.
• Verify patient demographic info / initials including patient signature post-venipuncture to verify tubes were labeled correctly.
• Maintain required records and documentation.
• Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees and the public.
