Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is hiring a Phlebotomist II in Taylorsville, NC, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The position offers a pay range of $20.00+ per hour and performance-based bonus potential.

Responsibilities include specimen collection, data entry, order verification, billing entry, and maintaining phlebotomy logs. Qualifications require 3+ years of phlebotomy, high school diploma, and preferred phlebotomy certification.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures (drug screens, biometric screening, insurance exams).
• Administer oral solutions per training.
• Research test/client information and verify orders using lab systems and approved tools.
• Navigate a computer and enter data accurately.
• Enter billing information and collect payments following policies.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and transport prep.
• Handle non-patient duties: inventory, supplies, sanitizing, filing, phones, email.
• Follow departmental policies and procedures.
• Assist with statistics/data submission.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and maintenance logs.
• Complete online and in-person training timely.
