Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Macon, GA is seeking a Phlebotomist II to collect specimens, perform fingerstick and biometrics, and verify orders in a Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM schedule.

The position offers a pay range of $20.00+ per hour, plus potential annual bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, retirement plans, paid time off, and more. Experience with lab technology systems and accurate data entry is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, WA).
• Three years phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures.
• Administer oral solutions according to established training.
• Research test/client information and verify orders using lab systems.
• Navigate a computer and enter data accurately.
• Obtain identification and enter billing information and collect payments when required.
• Process specimens including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and preparing for transport.
• Perform non-patient facing duties such as inventory, stocking, sanitizing, filing, and answering phones.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and complete training timely.
