Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in performing duties, troubleshooting, training, and making workflow recommendations.
• Perform blood draws, label specimens, centrifuge specimens, maintain records and update patient information.
• Collect and store specimens; explain venipuncture process clearly to patients.
• Demonstrate phlebotomy techniques using straight and butterfly needles.
• Verify orders; match requisitions to tubes; label, centrifuge, package specimens for transport.
• Store samples at required temperatures and ensure proper transport.
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations.
• Answer calls and report laboratory results to inquiries.
