Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Grantville, GA is seeking a Phlebotomist II for a part-time schedule (Monday and Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM). The role requires accurate specimen collection, data entry, and navigating lab systems to ensure correct orders and billing.

Candidates should have at least three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric collections; completion of high school; and phlebotomy certification preferred in some states. English communication required.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, which includes weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures.
• Administer oral solutions according to established training.
• Research test/client information and confirm and verify all orders using lab systems and approved tools.
• Navigate a computer and enter data accurately.
• Enter billing information and collect payments when required.
• Process specimens including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and preparing for transport.
• Perform non-patient facing duties such as inventory, stock supplies, sanitizing, filing, answering phones, and email.
• Read, understand and comply with departmental policies, protocols and procedures.
• Assist with compilation and submission of statistics and data.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and logs (temperature, maintenance) in a timely manner.
• Complete online and in-person training timely.
