Job summary

Spectraforce Technologies is seeking a Phlebotomist II to join our team in Clackamas, OR for a 3-month assignment. The role requires venipuncture experience in a fast-paced clinical setting, with strong emphasis on patient care and specimen integrity.

The candidate will perform venipuncture, collect and process specimens, verify patient details, and ensure safety and compliance with lab regulations. Schedule is 1st shift, 0730-1600, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
6 months of recent phlebotomy experience in a hospital or high-volume lab.
Venipuncture proficiency with straight and butterfly needles.
Basic Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

Perform venipuncture using straight and butterfly needles.
Collect, label, process, centrifuge, split, freeze, and package specimens per procedures.
Verify patient information and match specimens with requisitions.
Explain collection procedures to patients professionally and courteously.
Maintain specimen integrity through proper handling, storage, and transportation.
Update patient information and document specimen collection accurately.
Perform equipment maintenance and decontamination as required.
Ensure compliance with OSHA, DEP, and laboratory safety regulations.
Answer phone calls and assist with laboratory inquiries.
Participate in departmental training and uphold quality standards.
