Quest Diagnostics in Fairfax, VA is hiring a Phlebotomist II for a Monday to Friday shift from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with rotational weekends. The position offers a pay range of $23.20–$24.90 per hour and potential annual bonus based on performance.

The role requires three years of phlebotomy experience, data entry skills, and flexibility with a varied schedule. Education includes a high school diploma; phlebotomy certification preferred, with state variations noted.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens, biometric screening and insurance exams.
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Research test/client information and verify orders using lab systems and client contact.
• Navigate a computer and accurately enter data.
• Obtain identification and enter billing information and collect payments when required, following policies.
• Process specimens including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and transport preparation.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, stock supplies, sanitizing, filing, phones and emails.
• Read and comply with departmental policies, protocols and procedures.
• Assist with compilation and submission of statistics and data.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and maintenance logs.
• Complete online and in-person training courses timely.
