Job summary

Pride Health is hiring a phlebotomist to support a client facility in Youngstown, OH. This 3+ month contract offers W2 pay and a schedule that includes weekdays with some weekends. You will perform venipuncture, ensure patient comfort, and accurately label specimens for processing.

Ideal candidates have phlebotomy experience across age groups, strong patient communication, and flexibility to work the shift pattern described. This opportunity may lead to longer-term placement based on performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; medical training preferred.
• Minimum 2 year of phlebotomy experience (from HTML Job Requirements section, inferred).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary puncture to collect blood specimens from patients of all ages.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety during the collection process.
• Label specimens accurately and complete requisition forms.
• Adhere to procedures for waived testing and ensure result accuracy.
• Handle and store specimens to maintain sample integrity.
• Follow specimen transport and disposal protocols.
• Perform electrocardiograms (EKGs) as directed by providers.
• Apply electrodes and monitor patients for quality tracings.
• Prepare and verify manifests for specimens sent to external labs.
