Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in League City, TX is seeking a Phlebotomist II for a Monday–Friday schedule, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with rotational weekends. The role offers a pay range starting at $20.80 per hour, with bonus eligibility based on performance and company factors.

The position requires three years of phlebotomy experience, strong data entry skills, and the ability to navigate lab systems. Educational requirements include a HS diploma and phlebotomy certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available on weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in CA, NV, and WA.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures.
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Research test/client information and confirm/verify orders using lab systems.
• Navigate a computer and enter data accurately.
• Obtain identification, enter billing information and collect payments as required.
• Process specimens including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and preparing for transport.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, stocking supplies, sanitizing, filing, phones and email usage.
• Read, understand and comply with departmental policies, protocols and procedures.
• Assist with compilation and submission of statistics and data.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and maintenance logs.
• Complete online and in-person training courses timely.
