Quest Diagnostics Inc. is hiring a Phlebotomist II in Kansas City, MO. The role runs Monday to Wednesday 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., with Thursday off and Friday 7:30 a.m.

to 5:30 p.m., and rotational weekends. The position offers $20.00+ per hour with potential annual bonus eligibility based on performance. Responsibilities include specimen collection, data entry, order verification, and processing specimens for transport, with emphasis on accuracy and adherence to policies.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience including pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience required.
• Flexible and available for weekends, holidays, on‑call and overtime.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens and biometric tests.
• Administer oral solutions as trained.
• Verify orders using lab systems and client information.
• Enter data accurately and navigate computer systems effectively.
• Enter billing information and collect payments as required.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and transport prep.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, supplies, sanitation, filing, phones, email.
• Follow departmental policies, protocols and procedures.
• Assist with compiling statistics and data when needed.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and training records timely.
