Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Milwaukie, OR, is seeking a Phlebotomist II to join our patient-centered laboratory team. The role is Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM with rotational weekends, focusing on collection of specimens, patient interaction, and accurate data entry.

Required three years phlebotomy experience and valid driver license if applicable; high school diploma; phlebotomy certification preferred in some states.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible availability including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures (drug screens, biometric screening, etc.).
• Administer oral solutions per training.
• Verify orders using lab systems and client communication.
• Navigate computer systems and enter data accurately.
• Enter billing information and collect payments where required.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, transport prep.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, sanitizing, filing, phones, email.
• Adhere to departmental policies and procedures; maintain logs and statistics.
