Job summary

Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) is seeking a phlebotomist to collect venous and capillary specimens in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The role includes bedside testing, LIS duties, and training students and staff under the supervision of the Manager.

Minimum education includes a high school diploma or GED and a 1-year phlebotomy experience with an Accredited Phlebotomy Certificate. This is a Career Ladder position with internal career-path requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with 1 year phlebotomy experience.
• Completed Accredited Phlebotomy Certificate Course.
• Internal candidates must meet Path and Lab ICCE Career Ladder requirements.
• External candidates must complete Path and Lab ICCE Career Ladder within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Collect venous and capillary specimens in inpatient and outpatient settings using SOPs and aseptic technique.
• Perform bedside testing and LIS functions.
• Provide instruction to students and personnel.
• Perform laboratory duties as requested by the Manager.
