Job summary

Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) is seeking a phlebotomist to collect venous and capillary specimens in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The role includes bedside testing, LIS duties, and training students and staff under the supervision of the Manager.

Minimum education includes a high school diploma or GED and a 1-year phlebotomy experience with an Accredited Phlebotomy Certificate. This is a Career Ladder position with internal career-path requirements.

  • Internal candidates must meet Path and Lab ICCE Career Ladder requirements.

Ability to maintain 20/40 vision, corrected, in one eye or with both eyes. (Continuous) Ability to see and recognize objects close at hand or at a distance. (Continuous) Ability to match or discriminate between colors. (Continuous) Ability to determine distance/relationship between objects; depth perception. (Continuous) Good peripheral vision capabilities. (Continuous) Ability to maintain hearing acuity, with correction. Additional Job Description

Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience: At least 6 months phlebotomy experience required. Credentials: Completed Accredited Phlebotomy Certificate Course. This is a Career Ladder Position. Internal candidates are required to submit and meet Path and Lab ICCE Career Ladder requirements. External candidates are required to complete Path and Lab ICCE Career Ladder requirements within 90 days in position.
