Job summary

Manpower Group in Riverside, MO is seeking a phlebotomist to join a fast-paced healthcare setting. You will collect blood samples from diverse patients, label and handle specimens, and support diagnostic testing to guide care.

The role requires 1–3 years of phlebotomy experience and strong customer service. It’s a contingent position with a potential pathway for hire and a schedule of Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-3 years phlebotomy experience, including pediatrics and geriatrics.
• Two years of Patient Service Center experience preferred.
• Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Excellent customer service in healthcare or retail environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture, capillary, pediatric, and geriatric collections.
• Collect, label, process, and prepare specimens for testing.
• Verify patient information and obtain acknowledgements for specimen integrity.
• Maintain accurate records in compliance with standards.
• Perform clinical and forensic specimen collection and processing duties.
• Deliver outstanding customer service in a welcoming environment.
• Travel to multiple Patient Service Center locations as needed.
• Maintain a safe, organized, professional work environment.
• Manage multiple priorities in a high-volume setting with minimal supervision.

What You’ll Do

• Perform venipuncture, capillary, pediatric, and geriatric blood collections with skill and accuracy
• Collect, label, process, and prepare specimens for laboratory testing following established procedures
• Verify patient demographic information and obtain required patient acknowledgements to ensure specimen integrity
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with company and regulatory standards
• Perform both clinical and forensic specimen collection and processing duties
• Deliver outstanding customer service while creating a welcoming and professional environment for patients
• Travel to multiple Patient Service Center and/or physician office locations as needed
• Maintain a safe, organized, and professional work environment
• Effectively manage multiple priorities in a high-volume setting while working independently

What We’re Looking For

• A current, up-to-date resume
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections
• Two years of Patient Service Center experience preferred
• Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred
• Strong customer service experience in a retail, healthcare, or service environment highly preferred
• Keyboarding and data entry experience
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record, if applicable
• Flexibility to support staffing needs, including overtime, weekends, holidays, and on-call coverage as needed
• Ability to meet compliance requirements
