Job summary

Talentify is seeking a Phlebotomist II for our Raleigh, NC location to represent the company to patients and collect high-quality blood samples.

The role requires 3 years phlebotomy experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and preferred phlebotomy certification. Medical assistant training is a plus, with strong emphasis on accuracy and patient safety in a clinical setting.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Represent the company to patients and draw quality blood samples.
• Prepare specimens for lab testing following established procedures.
• Explain procedures to patients and ensure a safe, accurate blood-draw.
• Maintain confidentiality and accurate patient records and documentation.
• Perform duties under supervision with focus on process excellence and professionalism.

Job description

Our Client, a Medical Research company, is looking for a Phlebotomist II for their Raleigh, NC location.

Responsibilities:

• The Phlebotomist II represents the face of the company to patients who come in, both as part of their health routine or for insights into life-defining health decisions.
• The Phlebotomist II draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.
• The Phlebotomist II has direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe and accurate manner.
• The Phlebotomist II will demonstrate Leadership Behaviors while focusing on process excellence skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy to patient information.
• Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time. Maintain a safe and professional environment. Performs with confidence, both the forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures. Maintains required records and documentation. Demonstrates organizational commitment and promotes a positive image to patients, clients, employees and the public in general.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred
• 3 years of phlebotomy experience needed.
• Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred
• Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience a must.
