Job summary

Talentify is seeking a Phlebotomist II for our Morrisville, NC site to join a Medical Research team. You will perform blood collection, prepare specimens for lab testing, and ensure patient comfort and safety throughout procedures.

The role requires strong patient service, data entry accuracy, and adherence to confidentiality. You will work under supervision, maintain records, and contribute to process excellence and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• 3 years of phlebotomy experience required.
• Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
• Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience is a must.

Responsibilities

• Represents the company to patients and explains procedures.
• Draws blood samples and prepares specimens for lab testing.
• Maintains a safe, accurate, and confidential environment during procedures.
• Demonstrates leadership behaviors while focusing on process excellence and patient information confidentiality.
• Performs daily activities under supervision, maintains records and documentation.

Job description

Our Client, a Medical Research company, is looking for a Phlebotomist II for their Morrisville, NC location.

Responsibilities:

• The Phlebotomist II represents the face of the company to patients who come in, both as part of their health routine or for insights into life-defining health decisions.
• The Phlebotomist II draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.
• The Phlebotomist II has direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe and accurate manner.
• The Phlebotomist II will demonstrate Leadership Behaviors while focusing on process excellence skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy to patient information.
• Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time. Maintain a safe and professional environment. Performs with confidence, both the forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures. Maintains required records and documentation. Demonstrates organizational commitment and promotes a positive image to patients, clients, employees and the public in general.

Requirements:
