Job Title: Phlebotomist II

Duration: 3 months

Location: TX_W7H_5236 W University Dr, Mckinney TX 75071

Shift: Mon - Fri 8am - 5pm

Summary

The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) represents our company to patients, whether as part of their health routine or for insights into health decisions. The PSR II draws quality blood samples and prepares specimens for lab testing following established practices. They have direct contact with patients, creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures and drawing blood safely and accurately. The PSR II demonstrates leadership behaviors, focusing on process excellence and confidentiality. Depending on the need, they may be assigned to a doctor's office, patient service center, or other locations. Under supervision, they perform daily activities accurately and maintain a safe, professional environment. They handle specimen collection and processing duties confidently, verify patient demographic info, and maintain records. They promote a positive image to patients and the public.

Job Requirements

1. Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
2. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
3. Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric.
4. Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.
5. Adherence to policies, dress code, safety, and guiding principles.
6. Good judgment and decision-making skills based on established procedures.
7. Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record if applicable.
8. Willingness to travel and work flexible hours across multiple locations with minimal notice.

Required Education

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Medical training such as medical assistant or paramedic preferred.
3. Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

Work Experience

1. At least three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
2. Minimum of 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
3. Customer service experience in retail or service environments preferred.
4. Keyboard data entry experience.
