Title: Phlebotomist II

Duration: 2 months

Shift: 8:30AM - 5PM

Description:

• The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) interacts directly with patients, drawing blood samples and preparing specimens for lab testing following established procedures.
• Creates a trustworthy environment by explaining procedures clearly and performing blood draws skillfully, safely, and accurately.
• Demonstrates leadership behaviors, focusing on process excellence and confidentiality.
• May be assigned to a doctor's office, patient service center, or as dictated by business needs.
• Performs daily activities accurately and on time under supervision.
• Maintains a safe, professional environment and handles both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing.
• Verifies patient demographic information and labels tubes correctly, maintaining accurate records.
• Promotes a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.

Job Requirements:

• Ability to produce quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.

Training Locations:

Required Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training preferred (medical assistant or paramedic).
• Phlebotomy certification preferred, required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

Work Experience:

• At least three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Minimum two years in a Patient Service Center preferred.
• Customer service experience in retail or service environments preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
