Quest Diagnostics Inc. in Shelton, CT is hiring a Phlebotomist I. Schedule includes Monday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, Tue–Thu 9:00 AM–5:00 PM, Fri 8:00 AM–4:00 PM with rotational weekends.

Pay range is $22.80–$24.45 per hour, with potential annual bonus based on performance. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent; medical training preferred and phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, WA).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures (drug screens, biometric screenings, insurance exams).
• Administer oral solutions per training.
• Research test/client information; verify orders using lab systems and client contact.
• Navigate a computer and enter data accurately.
• Obtain identification, enter billing information, and collect payments per policies.
• Process specimens (labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, transport).
• Perform non-patient facing duties (inventory, stock, sanitation, filing, phones, email).
• Read and comply with departmental policies and procedures.
• Assist with statistics/data submissions.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and temperature logs.
• Complete online and in-person training timely.
